Favourite Things 7

“Life starts when we start growing a garden”
My Mum, Dad, and brother are all really keen horticulturists, and their work, means that we have a beautiful property. My attempts at gardening were a bit of weeding when I was seven, and the odd attempt at planting herbs for use in the kitchen. But, I just love arranging flowers, buying armfuls of them from the market, and turning them into floral decorations for my home, or others. Last year I did the wedding flowers along with the groom's mother, for my amazing friend Gina. What an honour she bestowed on me, the opportunity to create her bouquets from roses with the sweetest scent.

Bringing flowers, and plants into my home, makes me smile, and brings joy. Seeing the remarkable and extraordinary creation in a flower, reminds me of his love for us, that He created things of such beauty for us to enjoy. Recently I have felt myself, more and more drawn to gardening, to preparing, and sowing, harvesting and reaping. There is something in my soul, that longs to create a garden of my own, and I look forward to doing that. As that happens I will share more about it with you, but for now, I tell you my dream.
I have been working on a cookery programme recently, and in a little herbal shop, I found the most amazing tea bags - Jasmine Yogi Tea. This tea has literally soothed my furrowed brow as I have hammered my way through all that is entailed in setting up a cookery show for tv, and dealing with chefs - who need serious TLC.

"Keep God in the Picture, Oprah." - Aretha Franklin's advice to Oprah Winfrey as her daily shows came to an end.
I loved reading these two blogs - Michael Hyatt on marriage & Lauren Nicole Love on prostitutes
These two posts reminded me of what I hope for, and that taking chances with second best is not an option if I want to maintain my physical, spiritual and mental health.
This blog I have justed started following, and it is inspirational - check it out.
Angel House - I plan to support these guys my friends as they follow the dream that God has given them. If you are inspired please do support them with prayers, or funds or suggestions. Thank you.
Another favourite is happening tomorrow, my friend who I created the bouquets for is coming to Ireland with her husband, I just CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THEM. Gina and Gray I give it up for you nearly one year married in June.

That's it for now...
