The world blurs on the other side of the window. I stand at the sink washing potatoes, the cold water stings my hands. I scrub soily skins and remove eyes. The rain falls outside. Pounding hard. Puddling on the window. The earth releases a sagey scent. It washes down the drain. Chopping and chipping I pile potatoes into a pot.
Cooking grounds me. Connecting me to my deepest self. A desire that often overwhelms to cook. to create. to connect with others at the table, over food I have prepared.
I crave time to cook, to meddle and tinker with pots and pans, grams & flans.
The rhythm of life happens in my hands, in my psyche, in my dishes.
Over the next 31 days, I'll be cooking & creating, dreaming & dishing, photographing & preparing lots of food. I hope you'll call in, connect and have conversations with me.
Why don't you join the 31 days series over here at Nester's?
