Celebrating Gina

Today I want to celebrate my friend the writer Gina Hepburn. If you haven't visited her blog before, go now, and start reading. There are words of inspiration, posts on history, thoughts on writing, beautiful photograph, reviews of historical movies, words on travel and fantastic quotations.
When I visit her blog, when I read her work I am always left wanting more. More to read, to know, to experience - more. Her depth of knowledge paired with punchy prose brings her words to life and when I leave her blog, my mind is full of takeaway knowledge, that feels like it has come to me by osmosis, rather than a lecture.
I cannot wait for Gina's novels to be published. To celebrate her continued success. I know without doubt her books will be fantastic and made into movies! You heard it here first folks, Gina is a talent to watch because she is going to go far.
Gina is a writer and historian who's knowledge of everything from the Eligin Marbles to Jane Austen astounds me on a regular bases. I remember wandering through the British Museum with her several years ago, wondering how she knew so much about everything. She had fascinating stories about each exhibit that we visited. That's the thing about Gina she is brilliant at telling stories and making history come alive through the universal theme of story, rather than the dry facts and figures of a dusty classroom.
The day when her first book is published will be a day of joyous celebration and I can't wait for that to happen. May it come soon, very soon, this year!
As she reaches for her dreams, walking towards and into them, she inspires me on a daily basis to do the same.
Gina is one of those remarkable people who make the world a better place. It would be impossible to find a better friend. When I was very ill, Gina sent me sunshine in the form of little notes and cards. A cuddly Peter Rabbit arrived one day and brought a smile to a world of pain. Gina's support really helped me come through and keep going. Her friendship is a great blessing to me, 'Thank you Gina.'
Today I celebrate her for all that she is. An amazing lady, altogether.
Please head over to her blog and join me in celebrating her today.
Jeff Goins series Great Writers for day 10 asked us to promote another writer and it is with great joy that I celebrate Gina today and wish her every blessing for the future.
Who are you celebrating today - who makes your world a better place?
That's it for now ...
